While a zip code boundary separates the two communities, little else does. They are intertwined in almost every other way as to be considered one larger community. Considered by many to be one of the premier neighborhoods in the entire Washington Metropolitan Area, Clifton and Fairfax Station are best known for their rolling, rural countryside and large lots (primarily 5 acres) and privacy.
